SCHOOL 33 ART CENTER – DECEMBER 2nd, 2017
ART + CURATING Workshop
Join Melissa Webb, Exhibitions Manager at School 33 Art Center, and Jessica Braiterman, who develops family and community programs at the Baltimore Museum of Art, in this workshop dedicated to the presenting and interpreting of art from behind the scenes. Focusing on the work of curators and museum education, this workshop will include shared experiences from the presenters and a hands on sketch journaling activity. Attendees will participate in responding to current works on view at School 33 including a juried exhibit, installation, and solo show. Contemporary works from different local artists are featured in a variety of media like photographs, sculpture, painting, film, and video works. Get ready to learn some great new ideas that can be adapted for your classroom and new ways to frame your own studio practice.
