This year’s theme is “The World Needs Art”

Participants: Students in grades K-12
Designs: Designs should creatively use images that represent the state, or represent art. Images must have an aspect ratio of 3:5 (vertical or horizontal designs are acceptable)
Text: Designs should include the words "Youth Art Month" and "Maryland".
Release form: Students MUST submit a Student Artwork/Flag Release Form.


Submission Deadline Extended to February 6th!


One student will be selected to represent Maryland. The winning artwork will be used to produce a full sized flag and exhibited at the 2026 National Art Education Association Annual Conference in Chicago.
